Great food, My partner loved the cocktails. The atmosphere was really warming and relaxed. Service was great but not in any way intrusive. We had a great time.

Dinner was lovely, something just a wee bit different, Spaghetti with pea pesto, sundried tomatoes and a wee bit of chilli's. The focaccia was so tasty as well. Staff are lovely and friendly.
Visited fairly early on a Sunday evening. Lovely welcoming staff, good attentive service. Chilled vibe at the time we called in, but I can imagine other nights are buzzing. It felt elegant, relaxed, comfortable. Food choice is deliberately kept limited, I think, but it really works. Portion sizes were generous, good selection of wines. We had no room for pud, which can be a great sign, but the tiramisu ordered by a nearby table looked well worth unbuttoning for!!
Lovely food and drinks for a birthday lunch. Very accommodating for table of 8 with preorders so no issues on the day. Great service, reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.
Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere! Highly recommend to anyone in Dundee, it is, in my opinion, the best restaurant you will find in the city! P.S. 100% ask about the basement! You may or may not find some of the best cocktails in Dundee too!
Sexy, sassy place in Dundee centre. Spread over two floors. Nice modern decor. Open kitchen with chefs and cooks preparing the most delicious pasta I've had in years. All freshly prepared. Limited menu of starters, mains and desserts reassure high quality of served dishes. Tiramisu finger licking. Good choice of wine. Very good value for money. The place attacks trendy crowds. Absolutely fabulous! Highly recommended.
Franks is a bit of an enigma—it’s often quiet, but it’s easily one of the best fine dining experiences you can find in Dundee, especially in the city centre. The food is consistently excellent, the wine pairings are spot on, and the atmosphere is relaxed yet elegant. What truly sets it apart for me, though, is the tiramisu. It’s genuinely the best I’ve ever had, even compared to ones I’ve tried in Italy. Apparently, the liquor used in it is specially made by a local maker just for that dessert, which is a fantastic touch. If you're looking for a great date night spot without heading down Perth Road, Franks is a no-brainer.
